Cheese salad in tomatoes

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 large tomatoes
  • Salt and pepper, from the mill
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • 5 tbsp sour cream, thickened
  • 1 tbsp horseradish, fresh or ad jar
  • 1 large apple
  • 1 banana(s)
  • 150 g cheese, medium-aged Gouda or similar, reduced fat
  • ¼ cucumber(s)
  • 1 small salad
  • 4 slices of white bread, toasted

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Cut a lid off the tomatoes, hollow them out, and let them drain upside down. Mix the sour cream with salt, pepper, horseradish, and sugar. Dice the apple, slice the banana and halve or quarter them, and thinly slice the cheese and cucumber. Mix everything with the marinade, season well, and chill for 30 minutes. Season again, stuff the tomatoes, and arrange each tomato on 1-2 lettuce leaves. Serve with the toast.
