Cheese soup with onion dumplings

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 30 g butter or margarine
  • 30 g flour
  • ¼ liter of milk
  • ¼ liter broth, instant
  • 100 g processed cheese (60% fat)
  • Salt and pepper, white
  • nutmeg
  • 150 g Mett (onion Mett)
  • 150 g peas, frozen
  • 1 bunch of chives

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Heat the fat and sauté the flour until golden brown. Deglaze with milk and stock. Simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring. Melt the cheese in the soup. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. With wet hands, form the ground onion into small dumplings and cook with the peas in the soup for another 5 minutes. Finely chop the chives and add them to the soup before serving.
