Ingredients for 3 servings:
- 1 jar of morello cherries (700 g)
- 1 orange(s), zest and juice
- 20 g vanilla pudding powder
- ½ tsp vanilla paste
- 1 cinnamon stick(s)
- possibly sugar, optional

easy and fast
Place the cherries and their juice in a saucepan, transferring 75 ml of the juice to a glass. Mix the cherry juice with the vanilla pudding powder and set aside. Wash the orange with hot water and dry it. Grate the zest and squeeze the orange. Add the orange juice and zest to the saucepan. Add the cinnamon stick and vanilla paste and bring everything to a boil briefly. Stir in the smooth cornstarch and simmer for about 1 minute to thicken it. Remove from the heat and allow to cool. Remove the cinnamon stick. Tip: If it’s not sweet enough for you, add a little sugar. It goes well with pastries like waffles, pancakes, Buchteln, etc.
