Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 3 rolls, – 4 (milk rolls)
  • 500 ml milk or water
  • 3 eggs
  • 40 g margarine
  • 60 g sugar, – 80 g
  • 1 tsp, smothered cinnamon
  • 750 g cherry(s), pitted
  • powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes

Slice the rolls, soak them in milk or water, and squeeze out excess moisture. Separate the eggs. Beat the margarine with the sugar and egg yolks until fluffy. Add the cinnamon. Mix in the rolls and cherries. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold in. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 50 minutes. Serve with vanilla or chocolate sauce. Variation: Instead of cherries, you can also use apple slices or plums.
