Cherry tomatoes filled with basil jelly

Spread the love

Ingredients for 30 servings:

  • 30 cherry tomatoes
  • Jelly (Balilikum jelly) *
  • 30 basil leaves

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Cut the tops off the tomatoes and hollow them out with a small melon baller. Heat the basil jelly slightly until it becomes liquid again. Using a jug with a narrow spout, pour the basil jelly into the tomatoes. Place a basil leaf in each one, and let the filled tomatoes cool in the refrigerator. This makes a lovely snack to welcome guests. * For the basil jelly, see my recipe “Schrat’s Concentrated Basil Jelly.”
