Chicken breast fillets topped with ham and cheese

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 5 chicken breast fillets
  • 5 slices of cooked poultry ham
  • 5 slices cave cheese
  • 1 tbsp, heaped parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp, sautéed basil leaves, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp, heaped chives, cut into rolls
  • 25 g butter
  • 1 cup wheat flour, approx. 125 g
  • 1 tsp, leveled chili flakes
  • 2 tbsp, heaped paprika powder, sweet
  • n. B. Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes

Place the breading ingredients in a bag and mix together. Wash the chicken fillets, pat dry, and coat evenly in the seasoning mixture. Shake off any excess breading and place the fillets in a greased baking dish. Sprinkle the chopped herbs and butter over the bread. Place the dish on the middle rack of an oven preheated to 180°C (top/bottom heat) and bake the fillets for approximately 40-45 minutes. Then top the fillets with the cooked ham and cheese. With the grill function switched on, bake the fillets for approximately 10 minutes until the cheese is lightly browned. Serve the baked fillets immediately.
