Spread the love

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 750 g free-range chicken breast fillet(s)
  • 200 ml cream, 35%
  • 100 ml chicken broth, strong
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, freshly ground
  • 1 pinch of turmeric powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Made with just a few ingredients

Cut the chicken breast into approximately 1 cm thick slices and then into roughly 3 x 3 cm pieces. Gently heat the olive oil in a large pan and sear the meat on all sides. It shouldn’t brown. Deglaze with the chicken stock, add a little salt and pepper, the turmeric powder, and the cream. Mix and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Remove from the heat and season with salt and pepper. I didn’t have any crème fraîche or sour cream in the house, so I simply used a packet of whipped cream. Serve with rice, spaetzle, or a slice of baguette.
