Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 8 thin chicken schnitzels, approx. 100 g each
- 100 g smoked bacon, thinly sliced
- 1 ball of mozzarella
- 500 ml tomato(s), pureed
- 100 ml cream
- 1 bunch of Italian herbs
- salt and pepper
- Sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
Season the meat with salt and pepper and scatter the chopped herbs on one side. Cut the mozzarella into 8 pieces and roll the pieces into the schnitzels. Wrap the rolls in bacon and sear them in a pan. Then pour in the passata, cover, and bake in the oven at 180°C for about 25 minutes. After cooking, drain the sauce, add cream, and season with salt, pepper, and sugar. I recommend boiled potatoes as a side dish.
