Chicken with grapes

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 chicken (roast chicken)
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • curry powder
  • 500 g grapes, light, seedless
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • ¼ liter of water
  • n. B. Five-spice powder
  • n. B. Sauce thickener, dark

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Trim all the fat from the chicken, but leave the skin on. Then rub it with the spices as usual (feel free to season your chicken with your own blend; it will taste even better afterwards). Add a little fat to a lidded roasting pan and sear the chicken. Then reduce the heat as if you were steaming and add the grapes. Cover the pan and let it steam for about 40 minutes, covered. Check occasionally to make sure nothing is burning and add the water gradually. The grapes will burst during this time and also release their juices as a sauce. Now pour in the soy sauce. If there is too little sauce in the pan for your taste, top up with water. You can now thicken the sauce with dark sauce thickener and season to taste with five-spice powder. Serve with rice and salad.
