Classic

Habaneros are very hot when ripe enough. I usually use a maximum of two for the above-mentioned portion. If you like it hot, you can use three. However, anything more is beyond my tolerance. Chop the habaneros very finely and mix with the cumin, paprika powder, and the ground beef. Brown the meat mixture in hot oil. Season with salt and pepper. Once the meat is cooked, reduce the heat and add the passata. Simmer for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then add the corn and beans and simmer for another 10-15 minutes. Finally, add the chocolate and honey and season to taste. If you like it hotter, you can add chili powder. After simmering, the chili usually needs more salt.
