Chinese bean and potato vegetables

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 potatoes
  • 250 g beans, green
  • 20 ml soy sauce, dark
  • 250 ml water
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • Chicken broth
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Trim and halve the beans. Cook in boiling water for 3 minutes. Peel the potatoes and cut them into sticks like French fries; they should be about the same size as the beans. Heat oil in a wok and fry the fries until lightly browned. Then add the beans and continue frying briefly. Then add water, soy sauce, sugar, and chicken stock. Cover and cook until the potatoes are tender, stirring occasionally. Serve with rice.
