Chocolate Brownie Waffles

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 100 g flour
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 40 ml cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • 125 ml milk
  • 1 egg(s), separated
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp chocolate, chopped into pieces
  • 1 tbsp walnuts, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp margarine

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Combine sugar, cocoa powder, flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl and set aside. Pour the milk, egg yolks, margarine, and vanilla extract into another bowl and mix well. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Add the wet mix to the first mixture and mix well. Stir in the beaten egg whites. Now add the chopped chocolate and walnuts and let stand for 5 minutes. Then bake in batches in the preheated waffle iron.
