heavenly chocolatey!

If you can’t find skinned almonds, simply blanch regular almonds in hot water, rub them with a kitchen towel, and let them dry thoroughly. Chop the chocolate. Melt it with the butter in a saucepan over low heat and let it cool. Beat the eggs, sugar, and vanilla sugar until fluffy. Slowly stir in the butter-chocolate mixture. Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Knead the almonds into the dough. Dust your work surface with flour and form 4 rolls. Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (160°C fan-assisted oven) for about 20 minutes. Let the rolls cool slightly. Carefully cut into 1-1.5 cm wide slices. Place cut-side up on the baking sheet. Bake for another 10 minutes. Let cool. Makes 40 rolls.
