Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 230 g butter
- 180 g brown sugar
- 180 g sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 1 pack of vanilla extract
- 1 egg(s), depending on size
- 450 g flour
- 1 ½ tsp, heaped baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 200 g chocolate shavings (chocolate drops)
- possibly flavoring and spices, of your choice

American Cookies
Preheat the oven to 170°C fan/convection oven. Beat the butter with the brown sugar, white sugar, and vanilla sugar until fluffy. Stir in the eggs and vanilla extract. Mix the flour with the salt and baking powder and stir in. Fold approximately 150g of chocolate chips into the batter. Place walnut-sized mounds of dough on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and flatten slightly. Be sure to leave plenty of space between them, as the cookies will spread quite a bit. Distribute the remaining chocolate chips over the mounds of dough and press down lightly. Bake in the middle rack of the oven for 18-20 minutes. Allow to cool on the baking sheet. The cookies will only become truly crispy once they have cooled.
