Chocolate Granola

Spread the love

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 270 g oat flakes
  • 30 g cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 60 g coconut oil
  • 120 ml honey or maple syrup
  • 100 g chocolate drops, optional
  • 100 g nuts, mixed

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Preheat the oven to 170°C (top/bottom heat) (150°C fan/convection oven). Combine the oats and nuts in a large bowl, or coarsely chop the ingredients in a food processor for a finer texture. Melt the coconut oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the honey. Add the cocoa and salt and mix until smooth. Pour the paste over the oat mixture and mix well. Spread the granola evenly on a baking sheet. Bake in the hot oven for about 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through. Let cool, then fold in the chocolate pieces (optional). The granola will keep for up to 3 weeks if stored in an airtight container in the kitchen cupboard.
