Chocolate Hearts
The perfect chocolate hearts recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 200 g Butter at room temperature
- 150 g Cane sugar
- 1 Egg yolk
- 1 packet Bourbon vanilla sugar
- 1 tsp Rum
- 350 g Sifted flour
- 2 tbsp Cocoa powder
- 1 Msp Baking powder
Besides that:
- 100 g Couverture white
- Knead all ingredients to a smooth dough and wrap in foil and put in the fridge for at least 1 hour (I kept the dough in the fridge overnight)
- Preheat the oven to 200 ° C. Cover baking trays with parchment paper.
- Roll out the dough thinly in portions on a floured work surface, cut out hearts and place on the baking sheets lined with baking paper.
- Bake the chocolate hearts at 200 ° C for approx. 10 minutes, allow to cool and then garnish with melted couverture.
