Chocolate kiss muffins à la Chrissi

Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 60 g butter, melted
  • 80 ml oil (neutral vegetable oil)
  • 6 chocolate kisses (they’re so fat…)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp butter-vanilla flavoring
  • 100 g sugar
  • 150 g semi-sweet chocolate, melted
  • 260 g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 pinch of salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

First, line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper baking cups and preheat the oven to 200°C. Remove the wafer bases from the marshmallows and finely chop them. In a bowl, mix the chopped bases with all the dry ingredients (from flour to salt). In a second bowl, whisk the remaining ingredients (from butter to sugar) and add the egg white and chocolate mixture from the marshmallows. Now pour the flour mixture onto the egg mixture and whisk quickly. Fill the muffin tin with the batter and bake in the hot oven for about 20-25 minutes (use a toothpick to check if it’s done).
