Chocolate muffins

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 150 g butter or margarine
  • 100 g sugar
  • 175 g flour
  • 25 g cocoa powder
  • 1 bag of baking powder
  • 2 tsp, levelled vanilla sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 10 tbsp milk
  • 150 g chocolate or couverture, semi-sweet, chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

with chocolate chips, for 20 pieces

Beat the butter/margarine with a hand mixer on high speed until smooth. Gradually stir in the sugar and vanilla sugar until the mixture forms a thickened batter. Gradually stir in the eggs (approx. 30 seconds per egg). Sift together the flour, baking powder, and cocoa powder, and stir in alternately with the milk on medium speed. Fold in the chopped chocolate. Divide the batter among paper muffin cups (approx. half full) and place on a wire rack or baking sheet in the middle of the oven. Top/bottom heat: approx. 180°C (preheated) Fan oven: approx. 160°C (preheated) Gas mark 2-3 (preheated) Baking time: approx. 25 minutes
