Chocolate-vanilla cupcakes with milk slice topping

Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 100 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 g butter
  • 200 ml milk (vanilla flavor)
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 250 g mascarpone
  • 10 milk slices
  • 2 tbsp milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). Then separate the Milchschnitte (milk slices). Set the cream aside for later. Tear the dough sides into small pieces. The recipe is super simple; you simply combine all the ingredients, including the pieces of dough from the Milchschnitte (milk slice). The consistency should be firm enough that the batter sticks to a spoon when poured in. Pour the batter into the muffin tin and place in the oven for about 20 minutes. Do the toothpick test! For the topping, mix the mascarpone with the Milchschnitte cream. Add the milk to make it pipeable and garnish the muffins with it.
