Christmas apple punch

Spread the love

  • 2 liters of cloudy apple juice
  • 2 apples
  • 2 oranges
  • Honey
  • Cinnamon
  • Vanilla pod(s)
  • possibly Calvados

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

with or without alcohol (Calvados)

I make this punch for my family every year, and it’s always a hit. Pour the apple juice into a large pot and heat it. Peel the apples and finely grate them into the warm apple juice. Add a generous amount of honey, cinnamon, and vanilla, stirring vigorously. Peel and segment the oranges, and add them to the hot punch. Add Calvados, if desired. Let the whole thing simmer for a while, stirring occasionally. Serve warm. If you like, you can also soak the segmented oranges in the Calvados overnight.
