Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g flour
  • 100 g sugar
  • 125 g almonds, ground
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp, heaped cocoa
  • 150 g butter
  • ½ pack of baking powder
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 2 m.-sized eggs
  • 50 ml carbonated mineral water
  • Fat for the mold
  • 3 apples
  • 2 tangerines
  • 50 g almond flakes
  • 320 g biscuit(s) (speculaas biscuits)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes

perfect for the Advent season

Mix all ingredients into a creamy batter. Cut the mandarins and one apple into small pieces and add them to the batter along with the almond slivers and 100g of crushed speculatius biscuits. Cover the bottom of the greased pan with 220g of speculatius biscuits (equivalent to 12 biscuits) and spread the batter over the top. Slice the remaining apples and cover the cake with them. Bake the cake at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for about 45 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
