Ingredients

  • 4 Egg Whites
  • 150 g Sugar
  • 2 Msp Ground vanilla pod
  • 65 g Quark
  • 250 g Coconut flakes
  • 1 Lemon untreated
  • Dark couverture

Instructions

  • We like coconut macaroons very much and even more with little chocolate feet.
  • For the macaroons, beat the egg whites very stiff and finally stir in the sugar with the vanilla pulp. Wash the lemon, dry it and rub about half of the peel and add, then cut in half, extract the juice and add 1 tablespoon of juice to the egg mixture.
  • Carefully fold in the quark and coconut flakes and then place 2 teaspoons on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake at 120-140 ° C (fan oven) for about 40 minutes. During the long time I've had both trays in the oven.
  • From the mass I got about 70 macaroons. They have to cool down completely now.
  • For the "little feet", melt the couverture over a water bath and dip the macaroons into it. Place on aluminum foil and let dry.
  • Thank you, dear Roland, for the photo and the feedback
