Christmas Jelly !!
The perfect christmas jelly !! recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 kg Oranges untreated
- 2 Pc. Lemons untreated
- 0,8 teaspoon Grated orange peel
- 0,5 teaspoon Grated lemon peel
- 1,5 Knife point Ground cardamom
- 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
- 2 Pc. Star anise
- Dried chilli from the mill
- 1 packet Gelling agent 1: 3
- 350 g Sugar
- 1,5 Pc. Vanilla pod
- Squeeze out the oranges and lemons. 900 ml of juice is needed.
- Put the spices, zest, juice, sugar and gelling agent in a tall saucepan. Bring to the boil while stirring. Cook for about 4 minutes, always stirring.
- 2 Rinse tall glasses and pour in the juice, screw the screw upside down for about 5 minutes, then turn it again.
- Use the vanilla pod that I had with the sugar, just cook it with me.
- I like to use the jelly for my orange cake or sometimes on my bread rolls.
- I leave all the spices in the juice, so the aroma stays longer, you can fish them out when the time comes.
