Christmas Jelly !!

The perfect christmas jelly !! recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 kg Oranges untreated
  • 2 Pc. Lemons untreated
  • 0,8 teaspoon Grated orange peel
  • 0,5 teaspoon Grated lemon peel
  • 1,5 Knife point Ground cardamom
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 2 Pc. Star anise
  • Dried chilli from the mill
  • 1 packet Gelling agent 1: 3
  • 350 g Sugar
  • 1,5 Pc. Vanilla pod
  1. Squeeze out the oranges and lemons. 900 ml of juice is needed.
  2. Put the spices, zest, juice, sugar and gelling agent in a tall saucepan. Bring to the boil while stirring. Cook for about 4 minutes, always stirring.
  3. 2 Rinse tall glasses and pour in the juice, screw the screw upside down for about 5 minutes, then turn it again.
  4. Use the vanilla pod that I had with the sugar, just cook it with me.
  5. I like to use the jelly for my orange cake or sometimes on my bread rolls.
  6. I leave all the spices in the juice, so the aroma stays longer, you can fish them out when the time comes.
