Ciabatta

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg flour
  • 600 ml milk
  • 1 pack of yeast
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Put flour and a pinch of salt into a large bowl. Make a rim around the outside of the flour and add olive oil. Cover the oil again with flour. Make a well in the center of the flour. Warm the milk, add a little sugar, and crumble in the yeast (the yeast will rise). Pour the milk into the well and knead it into the surrounding flour. At first, the milk shouldn’t come into contact with the oil. Knead the entire dough thoroughly and then let it rise in a warm place. Knead again until you have a firm dough. Finally, bake at 200 degrees (top/bottom heat) for about 45-60 minutes. I actually only let the dough rise once, and it works, even though I’m generally against yeast. You can certainly add herbs to the dough if you like, but I haven’t tried it yet.
