Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon powder
  • 8 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 150 g ground almonds
  • 200 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 1 tbsp orange peel, untreated, grated
  • e.g. powdered sugar
  • little water
  • some cinnamon powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 4 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 4 hours 20 minutes

Knead all the dough ingredients together firmly. Roll out on a surface lined with aluminum foil and cut out stars using a cookie cutter. Let them dry at room temperature for about 4 hours. Bake the cinnamon stars on a baking sheet lined with baking paper at 250°C for about 3-5 minutes. Do not leave in the oven for too long, as otherwise they will become too dry. Let the cookies cool thoroughly. Make a thick glaze from sifted powdered sugar, cinnamon, and a few drops of water. Cover the cinnamon stars with this glaze, let them dry thoroughly, and store in a cookie tin lined with aluminum foil.
