Clafoutis – French fruit casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g currants or wild berries (frozen)
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 4 tbsp flour
  • 200 ml milk
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Let the berries thaw. Preheat oven to 220°C (220°C fan-assisted). Place the berries in a shallow, greased baking dish. In a bowl, beat the eggs with 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar until frothy. Gradually stir in the vanilla sugar, flour, and milk. Pour the batter over the berries and bake for about 15 minutes (to set). Garnish with 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar.
