Classic baked apples

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 large apples
  • 200 g marzipan
  • 2 tbsp Amaretto
  • 4 tbsp raisins
  • Butter, in flakes

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

with marzipan, raisin and armaretto filling (see also menu suggestion)

Wash the apples, core them with a corer, halve them, and place them in a baking dish. Knead the marzipan with the Amaretto and raisins and form finger-thick rolls, which you then insert into the apples (it’s easier). If there’s any leftover mixture, spread it on top of the apples. Add a knob of butter to each apple and bake the whole thing at 180°C (fan oven) for about 15 minutes on the middle rack. Then serve two apples on a plate with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. A very elegant meal can be prepared in 1 hour: Starter: My Rapunzel salad with apples and bacon. Main course: Koelkast’s spaghetti carbonara.
