Classic Tiramisu
The perfect classic tiramisu recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 6 Pc. Eggs
- 170 g Sugar
- 230 g Mascarpone
- 1 Cup Whipped cream
- 1,5 Cup Espresso
- 0,5 Cup Cognac
- 2 packet Ladyfingers
- 0,25 Cup Cocoa
- Separate the eggs and place the yolks and whites in different bowls. Boil 5 cups of espresso and allow to cool. Whisk the egg yolks and gradually add the sugar. Add the mascarpone and cream and whisk again well. Set the mixture aside.
- Beat the egg whites until a white, frothy mass is formed. Carefully fold the egg white into the mascarpone mixture.
- Mix the cognac with the cooled espresso.
- Dip the ladyfingers one after the other in the coffee mixture and line them up in a square shape in a single layer. Put a layer of mascarpone cream on top and use a sieve to sprinkle the cocoa over the cream. Repeat the process to make another layer of ladyfingers, mascarpone cream and cocoa. Chill the finished tiramisu for 24 hours before consuming.
