Classic Tiramisu

The perfect classic tiramisu recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 6 Pc. Eggs
  • 170 g Sugar
  • 230 g Mascarpone
  • 1 Cup Whipped cream
  • 1,5 Cup Espresso
  • 0,5 Cup Cognac
  • 2 packet Ladyfingers
  • 0,25 Cup Cocoa
  1. Separate the eggs and place the yolks and whites in different bowls. Boil 5 cups of espresso and allow to cool. Whisk the egg yolks and gradually add the sugar. Add the mascarpone and cream and whisk again well. Set the mixture aside.
  2. Beat the egg whites until a white, frothy mass is formed. Carefully fold the egg white into the mascarpone mixture.
  3. Mix the cognac with the cooled espresso.
  4. Dip the ladyfingers one after the other in the coffee mixture and line them up in a square shape in a single layer. Put a layer of mascarpone cream on top and use a sieve to sprinkle the cocoa over the cream. Repeat the process to make another layer of ladyfingers, mascarpone cream and cocoa. Chill the finished tiramisu for 24 hours before consuming.
