Clown cookies for children's birthdays

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 g butter, room temperature
  • 50 g powdered sugar
  • flavoring, (orange flavoring), a few drops
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 150 g flour
  • 25 g butter, room temperature
  • 75 g icing sugar, sifted
  • 1 tsp milk
  • Cherry(s) , (red cherries)
  • e.g. sweets (fruit gum and licorice snails, sugar writing, sugar pearls)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Makes 12 cookies

Cream the butter and sugar until fluffy, then stir in the orange flavoring and egg yolk. Sift over the flour and knead everything into a smooth dough. Chill in cling film for about 1 hour. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface and cut out cookies, either with a round cookie cutter or with an 8 cm glass. Process the dough completely. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper in an oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius and bake for 10-12 minutes, until lightly browned, then let cool. To decorate, cream the butter with the powdered sugar and milk until creamy. The mixture will act as glue. Half a cherry will serve as a nose. A ringed fruit gum strand will serve as a hairstyle, and pieces of the licorice strands will become eyes. Draw on the mouth using the icing from the tube. This is my decoration suggestion. There are no limits to your imagination.
