Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 can of cod liver, preferably no Baltic cod
- 1 shallot(s)
- 1 garlic clove(s)
- 1 ½ tbsp herbs, e.g. parsley or dill, finely chopped
- 1 ½ tbsp lemon juice
- salt and pepper

Remove the cod liver from the can with a fork. Blend it with all the ingredients in a blender. Serve with toasted bread.
