Cookies: Cinnamon Rolls

  • 60 g Butter
  • 50 g Cream cheese
  • 80 g Extra fine sugar
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 180 g Flour
  • 1 Msp Baking powder

filling

  • 60 g Extra fine sugar
  • 2 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp Liquid butter
  1. Whisk the butter with the cream cheese in a mixing bowl. Mix in sugar, vanilla sugar and egg yolks. Mix the flour and baking powder, sieve into a bowl and stir in a tablespoon at a time. Put the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  2. Mix the sugar and cinnamon well
  3. Roll out the dough to a size of 20x30cm between 2 pieces of cling film. Peel off the top foil and brush the dough with the liquid butter. Sprinkle the sugar-cinnamon mixture generously on top. Set aside 1 tablespoon of cinnamon sugar
  4. Now roll up the sheet of dough firmly from the long side using the cling film. Roll in cinnamon sugar or sprinkle with it all over (if you like). Wrap the roll in cling film and leave to set in the refrigerator overnight

On the next day

  1. Preheat the oven to 160 ° C fan-assisted air. Line baking trays with parchment paper. Take the rolling pin out of the refrigerator and cut into approx. 0.5 cm wide slices. Place on a baking sheet and bake for about 12 minutes until golden.
