Cookies: Fig and Marzipan Croissants

The perfect cookies: fig and marzipan croissants recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 200 g Marzipan
  • 50 g Powdered sugar
  • 25 g Chopped pistachios
  • 25 g Chopped almonds
  • 90 g Dried figs
  • 1 Pc. Egg, separated
  1. Roughly chop the figs. Knead the pistachios, figs, almonds with marzipan, egg yolks and powdered sugar. Divide the mixture into approx. 30 small portions. Shape each into a small, thin roll and then into a croissant. Place them next to each other on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
  1. Brush with egg white and bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees (or convection 180 degrees) for about 5 – 10 minutes until golden. Then pull from the baking sheet and let cool down on a wire rack.
  1. As a variant, you can also use cranberries, raisins or candied fruit instead of dried figs.
