Cookies: Simple Nut Stars

The perfect cookies: simple nut stars recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 300 g Spelled flour type 630
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 piece Egg
  • 120 g Raw cane sugar
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 100 g Butter
  • 200 g Ground hazelnuts
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 4 tablespoon Cream
  • 5 drops Bitter almond flavor
  • Chocolate icing or couverture
  1. Using the ingredients – except for the chocolate icing – knead a dough. Wrap it in cling film and let it rest in the refrigerator for about two hours.
  2. Roll out the dough in portions (on flour, between two layers of foil or a silicone pad) and cut out stars.
  3. Place on a sheet lined with paper or foil and bake in a preheated oven at 175 degrees circulating air for about 10 – 12 minutes. Let cool down on the baking sheet.
  4. Melt the couverture (chocolate icing) in a water bath and dip one half of the star. Allow to solidify and then pour into a suitable can.
