Cookies: Simple Nut Stars
The perfect cookies: simple nut stars recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 300 g Spelled flour type 630
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- 1 piece Egg
- 120 g Raw cane sugar
- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
- 100 g Butter
- 200 g Ground hazelnuts
- 1 pinch Salt
- 4 tablespoon Cream
- 5 drops Bitter almond flavor
- Chocolate icing or couverture
- Using the ingredients – except for the chocolate icing – knead a dough. Wrap it in cling film and let it rest in the refrigerator for about two hours.
- Roll out the dough in portions (on flour, between two layers of foil or a silicone pad) and cut out stars.
- Place on a sheet lined with paper or foil and bake in a preheated oven at 175 degrees circulating air for about 10 – 12 minutes. Let cool down on the baking sheet.
- Melt the couverture (chocolate icing) in a water bath and dip one half of the star. Allow to solidify and then pour into a suitable can.
