Simple Nut Cookies

The perfect simple nut cookies recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Sifted flour
  • 220 g Powdered sugar
  • 125 g Ground hazelnut kernels
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 375 g Ice cold butter
  • 1 tube Butter-Vanilla baking flavor
  1. Sift the flour into a mixing bowl, add the powdered sugar and hazelnuts with a pinch of salt, place the egg yolk in the middle and place the cold butter in small cubes over it and drizzle with the butter-vanilla baking flavor.
  2. Work through everything with the dough hook of the hand mixer until a crumbly mass is formed (you can also knead directly with your hands, but the body heat quickly makes the dough “sticky” and you need more flour, which in turn makes the cookies less tasty power).
  3. So: knead the crumbly mass by hand very quickly until you have a smooth dough … if necessary, grab your hands again briefly in the flour. Wrap the smooth dough in foil for a few hours in the refrigerator and let it cool.
  4. Cut the rested and cooled dough into four parts and shape nut-sized balls from each part, place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, flatten them with a fork and bake the nut cookies in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 10 to 12 minutes.
