Pita Bread
The perfect pita bread recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 250 ml Lukewarm water
- 1 sachet Dry yeast
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 3 tbsp Olive oil
- 450 g Flour (wheat 550 or spelt 630)
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Dried oregano
- 1 tsp Seasoned Salt

Mix the water, yeast and sugar together until everything is resolved.
- Make a smooth dough from all the ingredients (except for the herbal salt) and leave it covered for about 6 hours or more.
- Divide into 4 parts and roll each out into a 18-20 cm disc. Place on baking sheets lined with baking paper and cover with a kitchen towel and let rise for an hour.
- Brush the flatbreads with oil and sprinkle with a little herbal salt. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 ° for about 10 minutes until golden brown.
- Cut in half to serve and place on a plate or basket.
