Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 3 large pork or turkey schnitzels
  • 1 large tomato(s)
  • 1 pack of mozzarella
  • 1 cup crème fraîche
  • 1 cup of cream
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 2 dashes lemon juice
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

refreshing cordon bleu with tomatoes and mozzarella

Flatten the schnitzels and season with salt and pepper. Cut the tomato into thick slices and place two slices on each half of the schnitzel. Slice the mozzarella and place two slices on top of the tomatoes. Now fold the schnitzel closed. For the sauce, mix the crème fraîche and cream, add a crushed garlic clove, and season with salt, pepper, and lemon. Place the schnitzels in a baking dish and pour the sauce over them. Arrange the remaining tomato and mozzarella slices on top. Bake in the oven at 175°C (top/bottom heat) for half an hour. Serve with rice or croquettes.
