Crème fraîche sauce for pasta

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tsp tomato paste
  • 1 liter vegetable broth
  • 200 g sour cream
  • 200 g crème fraîche
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • n. B. roux
  • salt and pepper
  • Sugar
  • 1 bunch of basil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Finely chop the onion and garlic. Sauté the onions and stir in the tomato paste. Add the garlic and fry briefly, then deglaze with the broth and bring back to a boil. Add the crème fraîche and sour cream and stir in. After simmering briefly, add the cheese slices. Simmer the sauce for 10 minutes and season with salt, pepper, and sugar. Add fresh, chopped basil to taste. If desired, the sauce can be enhanced with pork sausage, hunting sausage, or other cuts of meat. Spaghetti or other pasta dishes go well with this sauce.
