  • 150 g chips (tortilla)
  • 1 chili pepper(s)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch(s) of pepper
  • 1 pinch(s) sweet paprika powder
  • Herbs
  • 5 tbsp flour
  • 2 eggs
  • rolls, (hamburgers)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

with chicken or turkey

Finely chop the chili pepper and add it to the minced meat along with salt, pepper, paprika, and the herbs, and knead well. I usually use parsley, basil, thyme, a little rosemary, and some chives, but it’s up to you. It’s best to put the tortilla chips in a freezer bag and crumble them with a rolling pin. Feel free to leave a few larger pieces in; this will make them even crispier later. Form the minced meat into patties and coat them first in flour, then in egg, and then in the crumbled chips. First, lightly toast the hamburger buns in a pan, then fry the patties in butter and a dash of oil until golden brown. I always top the burgers with lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and burger sauce. A very simple recipe for crispy and delicious chicken burgers!
