Crispy oven-baked sweet potatoes

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 sweet potatoes
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • Paprika powder
  • cumin
  • curry
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Peel the potatoes (you can also leave them on with the skin on) and cut them into strips about 1 cm thick. Let them stand in a cold water bath for 10 minutes. Dry the potatoes and place them in a freezer bag. Then add olive oil and cornstarch. Add seasonings to taste. Important: Do not add the salt until after cooking, otherwise the fries will dry out. Preheat the oven to 200°C (fan oven). Bake the fries for about 20-25 minutes.
