Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 12 slices of toast
  • 6 slices of cooked ham
  • 6 slices of Emmental cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 200 ml cream
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • Aromat

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

very simple and super tasty

Line a loaf pan with baking paper. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Mix the eggs, cream, and seasonings. Place some toast on the bottom of the loaf pan, top with ham, and then cheese. Then add more toast and 4-5 tablespoons of the cream and egg mixture. Then add more ham and cheese. Repeat until all is used up, ending with ham and cheese. Bake in the oven at 200°C for 30 minutes. This casserole tastes just as good cold as it does fresh from the oven.
