Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 large cucumbers
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 15 minutes

Peel the cucumbers, slice them thinly, and let them steep in a salted bowl until they become “cucumber water” (approx. 30-45 minutes). Meanwhile, combine the sour cream with the vinegar and sugar. Add more vinegar or sugar to taste. Finally, remove the cucumber slices from the bowl and squeeze out any excess water with both hands. Add them to the cream mixture and fold them in. Let them steep in the refrigerator for approximately 1 to 2 hours.
