Cucumber salad as a poem

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 cucumber(s)
  • oil
  • Vinegar
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • Sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Choose a slender cucumber, a lovely green one. You’ll enjoy it if you bring it home. Just before you want to eat it, take it in your hand, peel it, wash it, and finely slice it, delicately and skillfully. Now pour plenty of oil over it; only in this way will the cucumber’s fresh juices retain their flavor. Once you’ve gently mixed the oil, you can go on and finish it off with vinegar, salt, and pepper. Whether you add sugar depends largely on how your husband’s mother used to do it.
