Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 50 g butter
  • 60 g sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 500 g quark (cottage cheese)
  • 140 g flour
  • some salt
  • lemon juice
  • 2 apples
  • Clarified butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cream softened butter with sugar and eggs until fluffy. Stir in the curd cheese, flour, salt, and lemon juice. Then coarsely grate the unpeeled apples and fold in. Add 2-3 tablespoons of milk if desired; the batter should be loose. Heat clarified butter in a nonstick pan and fry half the batter. Reduce the heat. Tear the batter apart with a spoon, turning it frequently until the Schmarrn is golden brown. Set aside and keep warm. Process the rest in the same way. Sprinkle the finished Schmarrn with powdered sugar.
