Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g quark
  • 120 g sugar
  • 2 tbsp semolina
  • ½ pack of pudding powder (vanilla flavor)
  • ¼ liter of milk
  • 1 egg(s)
  • some water
  • 1 pc. puff pastry from the refrigerated section
  • possibly raisins (rum raisins)

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Quark strudel

Combine milk, pudding powder, sugar, and semolina in a saucepan, bring to a boil, and let cool. Combine the quark and egg and stir into the pudding mixture. Spread the mixture onto the puff pastry and roll it up. Prick the dough with a fork, brush with egg yolk or egg white, and sprinkle with a little water. Bake at approximately 170-180°C (preheated) for approximately 20-30 minutes. If desired, you can also stir in a handful of rum-soaked raisins.
