Currant Brownies
The perfect currant brownies recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 160 g Dark chocolate
- 100 g Butter
- 3 Eggs
- 80 g Sugar
- 0,5 packet Vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch Salt
- 150 g Flour
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 225 g Currants
- Melt the butter and add the chocolate. As soon as the chocolate has melted, stir everything well and let it cool down. Mix the eggs with the sugar, vanilla sugar and salt to a light, foamy mixture.
- Stir in the cooled butter / chocolate mixture to the mass. Carefully mix in the flour and baking powder and fold in the currants. Pour the mixture into a greased baking tin (25×25). Bake in the 180 degree oven for about 30 minutes. Once cooled, cut into cubes and dust with powdered sugar.
- Tip 3: The brownies also work perfectly with frozen currants.
- Tip 2: Instead of dark chocolate: prepare half with white and the remaining 80 g with dark chocolate.
