Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 140 g tomato paste, 2-fold concentrated
  • 500 ml orange juice
  • 50 g sweet paprika powder
  • 40 g curry powder
  • 1 tsp, heaped turmeric powder
  • 3 tbsp, heaped applesauce
  • 1 lime(s), freshly squeezed juice
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 4 tbsp, heaped ketchup
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Roast the tomato paste with the sunflower oil in a pan, then deglaze with the orange juice. Add the spices (paprika, curry powder, and turmeric) and stir until no lumps remain in the sauce. Add the applesauce, lime juice, and honey. Finally, add the ketchup, a pinch of salt, and pepper, and stir well.
