Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 550 g meat sausage
  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 500 ml tomato ketchup
  • 150 ml curry ketchup
  • 2 tbsp curry powder
  • 1 tbsp paprika powder
  • 2 m.-sized onion(s)
  • some fat

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

My grandmother’s recipe from the Palatinate

Cut the bacon into approximately 2 cm wide strips. Slice the plain sausage. Peel, halve, and slice the onions. Briefly fry the bacon and onions in a pan with a little fat. Then add the sausage slices and fry them as well. Add the tomato and curry ketchup and spices, stir, and cover the pan with a lid. Simmer on low heat for about 20 minutes. If you like it spicier, add curry powder. Serve with fresh baguette. Can also be reheated the next day.
