Dabbed Lemon Cake and Berries

The perfect dabbed lemon cake and berries recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 175 g Soft butter
  • 175 g Sugar
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • 175 g Flour
  • 1 Organic lemon
  • 1,5 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 Prices Salt
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 100 g Berry
  1. Cut the softened butter into pieces and place in a bowl. Add sugar and vanilla sugar and stir for a few minutes until frothy. Add one egg at a time to the mixture, always mixing well in between.
  1. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt into the mixture and stir into a smooth dough, also add the grated zest of the lemon. Now mix in the lemon juice as well. Finally, add the berries to the batter and mix briefly.
  1. Put the dough in a greased dish. Bake the cake for about 50 minutes at a temperature of 180 ° C.
  1. 4th TIP: The cake tastes great with currants! Since currants can be quite sour, I prepare the cake with 60 g raspberries and 40 g currants, so the berry mixture is well balanced.
