Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 stalk(s) leek
  • 125 g ham or bacon, diced
  • 1 onion(s)
  • Oil or fat
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • e.g. applesauce

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes

Peel and grate the potatoes, and squeeze out any excess water. Grate the carrots, slice the leek, and dice the onions. Mix the potatoes, carrots, leek, and onions with the eggs and bacon. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Grease a casserole dish and pour the mixture into the pan. Bake for approximately 2 hours at 180°C. Serve with (homemade) applesauce after baking.
