The infusion drinks have a double effect: if you drink a lot, that alone helps to drain the body. Plants and herbs with certain ingredients also have a diuretic effect. The main ones to mention here are tannins and potassium.

Which types of tea have a dehydrating effect?

One of the most well-known and proven diuretic teas is nettle tea, which you can easily prepare from plants you have collected yourself. To do this, scald a tablespoon of fresh or dried, cut nettles with a quarter of a liter of boiling water, and leave the brew covered for ten minutes. Then strain and enjoy a cup three times a day. Teas for drainage can also be made from other natural ingredients. Among other things, the following are suitable for this:

Draining the body with tea has nothing to do with detox

Dehydrate with how much tea?

To get an effect without doing harm, you can drink about three to four cups of drainage tea daily. However, the cure should not last more than a week. Always follow the consumption recommendations on the packaging – or simply ask the pharmacy how the drink should be used. Drink plenty of water throughout the day to support the effect. If you feel unwell or have any problems, stop drinking and consult your doctor. This also applies to previous illnesses, especially of the kidneys and heart.
